Elevator Antwerp gallery website shown on a laptop

The website for a gallery without a fixed address. Elevator Antwerp takes over temporary spaces in the city, curates contemporary art there, and moves on. The works stay centre stage.

Challenge

Elevator Antwerp has no permanent gallery space. It appears in temporary locations across the city, fills them with contemporary art, and disappears again when the project ends. The website had to carry that story even when there is no address to point to.

Approach

Calm and typographic, so the works take the lead. Exhibitions, available works and the story behind the gallery are three clear entry points at the top, with the artist and the work always shown large.

Result

A website that moves with a gallery on the road: the same recognisable place online every time, showing what is on now and which works are available.
