A shared space for a psychologist and their clients between sessions. Clients log their days, write down what weighs on them and work on small assignments, so the next session starts where the last weeks left off.
Challenge
Many people can’t see their psychologist every week. Two or three weeks pass between sessions, and the start of every hour goes to catching up: what happened, how the days went, whether the exercises helped. A one-hour appointment can’t spare that time, and by then the details that matter most are often forgotten.
Approach
Huiskamer gives both sides one calm place that thinks in time, not features. The client has three places: Today, with a quick check-in and the assignments that count today; a Logbook with everything they write; and Sessions, with what was discussed and a list for next time. Every entry is shared with the psychologist by default or kept private with one tap, and private entries never show up on the other side, not even as a count. The psychologist starts the day with “Between sessions”: what each client shared, finished or put on the list for next time. Each client file shows their mood over the last two weeks, open assignments with their progress, and a shared page per session next to private session notes.
Result
Before a client walks in, the psychologist already knows how the past weeks went, so the hour goes to the conversation instead of the recap. Huiskamer is a clickable prototype of both sides with realistic demo data: a Notion-like editor for session pages and the logbook, assignments with a fixed rhythm, booking and invoices. The look is warm on purpose, with pine, clay and sunlight colours, full-bleed photography and soft serif headings, so it feels like a living room rather than a medical file. No chat, no read receipts, no pressure to reply.
